Pentimento

Pentimento was premiered in Toronto in January 2015. By translating and dictating the sounds from the field recording into a score for piano, cello, saxophone, violin, I wrote this piece as a start of an experiment with documentation and creation. The acoustic composition played simultaneously with the field recording produced subtle textural differences problemizing the notion of liveness in performance.
